Blazing Fun in Beaverton for the 4th of July

This 4th of July, we had a full house: Mom Wong, Al & Joleen, Brandon & the kids, and the Parks (Eileen, Steve, and Brian) came up from California. Chenin, Mook-lan, and Tina came down from Tacoma for the 4th as well to visit with us, see Davis, and to see the house.

Saying goodbye to the Vancouver House

This past weekend, we made our move from Vancouver to Portland. The plan was fast and furious, but we were able to get all the key items done over the weekend. We are starting to settle in the new house, but there's a lot of boxes that need to be unpacked.

It was a little strange leaving a house of 8 years and seeing it so empty, but the new house is going to be great. We are already loving the short commute and nice neighbors/neighborhood. Good times in Vancouver.

Grandma visits Davis

Grandma Jo came up to visit Davis and help us move.


By the way, we are in our final stages of the sale of our house!

Also, we are close to finalizing the purchase of a house in Beaverton. Thing are moving quick and Jo is helping us pack our stuff. We hope to be out and moved in to our new place by the 4th of July. We will post some pictures of the new house in the upcoming days!

Happy Davis is 6 months old.

Can you believe it? Davis is already 6 months old! His mom and dad have aged 10 years in the last 6 months, but it has been worth it. Happy 6 months Davis!

Davis has started the motions to crawl these days. He's crawling backwards, but it's a start, right?

Davis and friend Dylan at Baby & Me Group

Davis' oldest friend, Dylan, played together with friends at the hospital's Baby & Me Group meeting on Thurs. Dylan's parents, Melissa and Avi were in the same birthing class so they were buds from the womb. Davis loves to touch faces and say "Oooh."

Davis starts eating solid food!

Hi all,
Just recently, we started feeding Davis rice cereal to get him used to solids. Here's his first 2 attempts. It reminds me of the old Life cereal commercial, "Hey Mikey, I think he likes it!"

Next feeding... Double Double from In-N-Out.

Last week, the Mohler family (Jenny, Scott, Emi and Sam) visited Sacramento all the way from Chicago. They spent the day with the Soerianatas at Fairy Tale Town. Love that place! Check out their pictures:

Grandma and Grandpa Lee visit Davis

Grandma and Grandpa Lee came to visit on Steve's birthday weekend. They were very helpful to us - fixing up the house for the sale on May 1st. They also watched Davis while Mom and Dad went out for dinner and a movie for Steve's birthday. Our first date night! We partied all weekend long when we celebrated with a fabulous Sunday brunch at Salty's seafood buffet. Tasty! Davis was back to his smiling self now that he is not sick anymore.

Davis' 1st Easter

Davis had a great time in Sacramento to celebrate his first Easter with friends and family. He spent the weekend decorating eggs with the Murais and Sorienatas and ended the trip with an Easter egg hunt at the Parks. Here's the link to all of the pictures with a couple below.

Update on Davis - 1st Fever and Ear Infection, Holding his own bottle, and Happy Baby pose

Hi all,
It's been a couple weeks and we must say it's been all about taking care of Davis. He got a little sick and is still taking medicine for his ear infection, but is doing well now. He's smiling back to his happy self. A couple of new things for Davis is that he's starting to play with his feet and wanting to hold his bottle when feeding. Fun stuff! Here's some pictures.

Davis visits with Uncle Welly and Auntie Dina

Last weekend, Davis took his first trip to Seattle (2.5 hrs North) to visit with Dina and Welly while they were in town for an event. We had lunch at the Crab Pot on the Wharf, one of our favorite places to eat with your fingers and wear a bib while you eat!
