I cannot resist.... Guess who this is on the floor.

Who might this be? As we were playing guitar hero, someone was out cold in the back of the room.

Happy Holidays!

Richard's Jung Family Christmas Pictures

Richard sent us a link to his pictures from Christmas at the Chris Louie's house and the Jung's Christmas party at Jr's house. Here's the link:

Here's the 3 pictures that I took at Chris's party.

We are back and it's snowing!

We just returned from sunny California and what does Mother Nature have for us? A winter wonderland. It's great and all until you need to drive around in the Honda accord. Luckly, we have the SUV to drive in to get our lattes and fast food. Right now, the cats and Kristen are huddled around the wood stove for heat.

It was great to be with the family during the holidays, especially this one. We ate good, spent time with friends and family (especially the new babies: Cameron, Zoe, and Kyle) , and learned how to play guitar hero 3! Happy New Year to all!

Thanks to all for attending dad's funeral

A tough day for us to send off dad, but it was great to see the family and friends he knew and lives he touched.
Jen and I spoke. His was more the light hearted, mine was the tear jerker (because I couldn't stop crying during the speech), followed by Dougie, Auntie Dot, and two of his Chi-Y friends. It was great to hear about dad. After the speeches, the honor guard presented mom with the flag.

The day, even though scheduled for rain, was clear for the burial and the longevity luncheon food and service was quite good as well. At the end, Jen and I toasted dad and thanked all for attending.

Yesterday, the honor guard & military chaplain met us and Uncle George & Auntie Nancy at the gravesite to give a gun salute for dad. They could not make it on Monday, so we asked they come wed. We knew dad would have liked that and as one of the honor guard told the audience, he was a Colonel, on rank below a General and deserved a full honors burial.

Thanks to all that could be there to attend. For the others not abroad or unable to attend, we appreciate your kind words and support. To see a larger slideshow of dad, here's the link:

Col. Genson Wong 1933-2007

Hello all,

If you were not aware, our dad had been recently diagnosed with cancer and, today, passed on. It was a shock to us and it's not been a day yet, but we still cannot imagine our father passing away. We all have happy memories about dad. His whistling when he was happy, or telling you if you wanted a "knuckle sandwich" when you were messing around. We will miss him. Here's some memories that we have scanned. There will be more pictures of dad when we have more time.

Thanks to all for their support and help during these last weeks. It's been tough. Great thanks to Tina, Chenin, and Moklan to help out with watching and caring for dad.

The Wongs.
