LA Trip to Disneyland

We had a great time with Dina, Welly, Ryan, Jen, and the kids. They went to a pumpkin patch and then to Disneyland the next two days. It's a totally different experience with infants and preschoolers. We spent more time in the bathroom and child care center than on the rides. Davis loved the Lightning McQueen and Mater ride. Olivia had a great time on the It's a small world ride. We just liked seeing Disneyland through the kids eyes. Here's a couple pictures. Click on the link to see the rest. Link to pictures

Halloween Fun

We had a festive Halloween. All had a costume and gave out treats to the trick or treaters. Olivia is a great Yoda!

Davis' first comic con!

Yesterday was the Rose City comic con and thought it was was time for Davis to see what happens at a comic convention... mostly people dressing up. There was an added bonus, he got to meet an artist that draws my little pony. 

Overall, it was a success. He was hoping to meet Supergirl, but was happy to meet Batgirl, Wonder Woman, and Black Widow. Maybe next comic con.

Olivia's 2nd week of school. Happy and standing... with a big bump on her head.

Olivia's 1st day of Nike School

Tuesday was Olivia's first day of Nike school. She did great for day one. Slept, took a bottle from the teachers, and made some new friends! Day two was just as successful. She's a Nike girl now.

 

Davis' first Pony Lesson

Davis had his first pony lesson today. We found out about this place via a groupon. He learned all about ponies: how to groom them, get them ready for riding, and ride them. Black Beauty the pony that he rode around the barn. Cowboy Bob said that Davis was a very good listener and would be ready for a pony trail ride next time. Davis had a great time and really enjoyed riding by himself with no hands! Here's a link to the pictures: Link to Pictures

Big bro Davis helped us out by playing with Olivia while we got ready to go. They had fun together. :) 

She's got teeth!

Look closely and you can see the bottom  two coming in nicely. She's started eating solids now. Had a char siu bow over the weekend. Before you know it, she be eating our food. :)

Davis' Safari trip with a camera in hand...

With Kristen and Olivia in California for Lauren and Dave's bridal shower, Davis, his classmate Blake, Blake's family, and I took a drive to the Winston safari. It was  a great day for a drive and to see some animals. We also had a special treat. We fed and petted the elephants. Davis had a great day. I gave him the reigns to the camera, so all the pictures, except for the first two were done by Davis. He got some good shots in. He's ready for his own real camera. Enjoy.

Julie & Kurt visit Portland!

Julie and Kurt came up for a visit to the Rose City. We took them to our favorite spots. They also visited Kristen's work and came to visit Nike and the Nike employee store! It was great to spend time with them and look forward to when they come back to visit!

Olivia and Davis' Hawaiian Adventure

We are back from a great week in Hawaii. Spent 3 days in Oahu and 6 days in Maui. Grandpa Al and Grandma Joleen came along for the adventure. We enjoyed their company and help with the kids. The weather was great. Davis wore this ultimate choice of clothes: shorts and a t-shirt the whole time.We stayed on the Ko'Olina side of Oahu. It was very nice and relaxing. We got to spend time with Diane, David, and Auntie Li. Then we were off to Maui for a feeding frenzy and even more laid back trip.

Davis got to go to the pool once or twice a day, walk on the beach, ride in a submarine, eat shaved ice, do a bunch of craft activities, and bumped his head badly at the ticket counter on the way back. It was so swelled that we had the Honolulu Fire Department check him out before we got on the long flight back. He's fine. Just a "souvenir"  scar that will be on his forehead longer than the tans we got in Hawaii. Here's some of our fav picts. Go to the link below for the rest of the pictures.
