Gung Hay Fat Choy! Year of the Rat

If you haven't been keeping track, Chinese New Year starts this Thursday, Feb 7th. The dragons were dancing at Owagimaya in Portland today. We are holding off our Chinese New Year party until I get back from Amsterdam. I will be celebrating the new year in Europe. I will see how they roll for the year of the Rat.

Remember on Thursday, is a reflection of the upcoming year, so behave, don't swear, and pay off all your bills before then. Also, don't wash your hair and use sharp objects that day either.
Gung Hay Fat Choy!

Blazer Fever!

Blazers vs. Cavs. I went with a co-worker since Kristen had prior commitments. Great game against Nike star Lebron James. My boss' boss' boss' boss' boss, Phil Knight, was there cheering him on. We lost in the last seconds. Great game, though. It's okay since Brandon Roy took Baron Davis' (Warriors) spot in the All Star game.

Blazers won on Friday and play on Monday to get to 2nd in their division. Keep an eye on the blazers. Oden will be coming next season.

Back from Arizona

To get away from the rain and snow, we took a quick weekend to Scottsdale. We stayed at this swanky hotel downtown called the Mondrian. Good thing about this place is that, if you stay there, you get access to their three bars. I think I saw a football player, but didn't recognize him at all. Jen said that they may have been there for the superbowl. Crazy room. Saturday was a nice sunny day. We ate outside, in the sun, at breakfast, went shopping, and did the Cave Creek luminaria run at sunset. They gave us some crazy flourescent shirts. Fun run. After the run, we had a late dinner and went out on the town. Sunday was pouring rain, but we got a massage from a person Kristen found on Craig's list and went to the best brunch place, T.Cooks. We had dinner there the last time we were in Scottsdale. Fun time, too short.
