I cannot resist.... Guess who this is on the floor.

Who might this be? As we were playing guitar hero, someone was out cold in the back of the room.

Happy Holidays!

Richard's Jung Family Christmas Pictures

Richard sent us a link to his pictures from Christmas at the Chris Louie's house and the Jung's Christmas party at Jr's house. Here's the link:

Here's the 3 pictures that I took at Chris's party.

We are back and it's snowing!

We just returned from sunny California and what does Mother Nature have for us? A winter wonderland. It's great and all until you need to drive around in the Honda accord. Luckly, we have the SUV to drive in to get our lattes and fast food. Right now, the cats and Kristen are huddled around the wood stove for heat.

It was great to be with the family during the holidays, especially this one. We ate good, spent time with friends and family (especially the new babies: Cameron, Zoe, and Kyle) , and learned how to play guitar hero 3! Happy New Year to all!

Thanks to all for attending dad's funeral

A tough day for us to send off dad, but it was great to see the family and friends he knew and lives he touched.
Jen and I spoke. His was more the light hearted, mine was the tear jerker (because I couldn't stop crying during the speech), followed by Dougie, Auntie Dot, and two of his Chi-Y friends. It was great to hear about dad. After the speeches, the honor guard presented mom with the flag.

The day, even though scheduled for rain, was clear for the burial and the longevity luncheon food and service was quite good as well. At the end, Jen and I toasted dad and thanked all for attending.

Yesterday, the honor guard & military chaplain met us and Uncle George & Auntie Nancy at the gravesite to give a gun salute for dad. They could not make it on Monday, so we asked they come wed. We knew dad would have liked that and as one of the honor guard told the audience, he was a Colonel, on rank below a General and deserved a full honors burial.

Thanks to all that could be there to attend. For the others not abroad or unable to attend, we appreciate your kind words and support. To see a larger slideshow of dad, here's the link:

Col. Genson Wong 1933-2007

Hello all,

If you were not aware, our dad had been recently diagnosed with cancer and, today, passed on. It was a shock to us and it's not been a day yet, but we still cannot imagine our father passing away. We all have happy memories about dad. His whistling when he was happy, or telling you if you wanted a "knuckle sandwich" when you were messing around. We will miss him. Here's some memories that we have scanned. There will be more pictures of dad when we have more time.

Thanks to all for their support and help during these last weeks. It's been tough. Great thanks to Tina, Chenin, and Moklan to help out with watching and caring for dad.

The Wongs.

Kyle's Red Egg and Ginger Party!

We came down to California over the weekend to attend Angie and David's Red Egg and Ginger party for Kyle. It was great to see everyone and there was a surprise attendee.... Darryl and family from Arizona.

Everyone looked great and were very happy. Len and Bheng are next up. We did miss Kalyee Wong's (Kevin and Monia Wong) Red Egg party at the same time, especially since they had pigs feet. Kristen was not happy to hear about that, but we did go visit with the Wongs in the evening.

Nike Run Hit Remix was the best!

Hey all,
If you were not with Kristen, Dina, and I, you missed a great event. There were thousands of people in red running to some serious old school kick ass music. Playing were: Naughty by Nature ("Hey, Ho, Hey Ho"), Sugar Hill Gang ("The hip to the hop to the hibbiddy"), Dawn from Envogue, Sir Mix-A-Lot ("Baby got back") and then for the Hammer! Blu Cantrell started us off and at the end, Carl Lewis and Serena Williams also came on stage. It was so cool. It was like back in High school.

We ran the whole distance and got back early enough to be real close to the stage. Here's some pictures of Kristen, Dina, and me. We will add more later. We are busy relaxing in Vegas.

Finally, Here comes the Hammer!

Cheers! Steve

More pictures to be added later.

Kristen's early birthday lunch.

We had lunch with Auntie Nancy, Uncle George, Auntie Pearl, Bheng, Jen, Dad, Mom, Kristen, and I for Kristen's birthday. It's a little early, but good reason to go eat Chinese food. Jen was mad that we ate all the honey walnut shrimp. :)
